FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Jonesboro has developed into one of the most consistent winners in Class 6A in nine seasons under coach Randy Coleman.

The Hurricane (6-2), winner of at least seven games in each season since 2008, will try to once again reach the seven-win mark when they host No. 3 Cabot on Friday night.

The last regular-season loss for the Class 7A Panthers (8-0) came late last season to Jonesboro, which held on for a 24-23 win before falling to eventual Class 6A state champion Pine Bluff in the state semifinals.

This season, Jonesboro has thrived behind an offense that averages 48.6 points per game, while Cabot is allowing an average of only 17 points per game.

Something has to give on Friday night.
