FAIRFIELD, Ala. (AP) - Authorities in suburban Birmingham say three teenagers are now in custody in the killing of a college student. Police say the crime was likely motivated by robbery.

Fairfield police say Derrious Scott, Dre’Quan Tucker and Cameron Green, all of Bessemer, face capital murder charges in the killing of Miles College student Keenen Morris of Mobile.

The three suspects, all age 18, are all from Bessemer.

Police say the 21-year-old Morris was shot inside his apartment Tuesday night. They say Morris likely knew his killer.

Fairfield Police Chief Leon Davis said nothing was taken in the holdup, which police described as an attempted robbery, because the suspects fled.
