TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - Authorities have identified the 13-year-old boy who was fatally shot by a friend at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The News Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/gLDss3 ) that Alexander Demello was shot in the face Oct. 20 while walking in a wooded area of JBLM with his 14-year-old brother and 17-year-old friend. He died Sunday after several days in the hospital.
