BUIES CREEK, N.C. (AP) - Campbell University has been recommended to host the Big South Conference men’s basketball tournament in March.

The Fayetteville Observer reports (https://bit.ly/1GzClPB) that Big South athletic directors voted for the school this week. Big South university presidents are expected to vote by Nov. 9.

High Point, the University of North Carolina Asheville and Winthrop were the other Big South members to bid for the 2016 men’s tournament, which runs from March 3-6.

High Point and the University of North Carolina Asheville also bid for the women’s tournament.
