DALLAS (AP) - The upcoming sounds of gunfire in Dallas are for a new movie about the aftermath of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

City officials say blanks will be fired Sunday during the filming of “LBJ” near Dealey Plaza, the site of the real 1963 gunfire.

The movie stars Woody Harrelson as Lyndon B. Johnson, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Lady Bird Johnson and Jeffrey Donovan as JFK. It’s about the life of Johnson and the political upheaval faced by the then-vice president following JFK’s assassination.

Dallas officials on Friday issued the public advisory about blanks being shot and said police have a traffic plan to reroute vehicles from the area.

The set of the film, directed by Rob Reiner, is closed to the public.
