ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. (AP) - An Elmwood Park firefighter is hospitalized after suffering a heart attack while battling a blaze in a two-family home.

Fire Chief Michael Foligno tells The Record (https://bit.ly/1P0PvIe ) newspaper the firefighter was revived by CPR on the scene of Thursday night’s blaze and was taken to a hospital for surgery.

The firefighter’s name has not been released.

Foligno says the fire does not appear suspicious and investigators found no sign of foul play.
