SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A Utah teenager was killed and two of her classmates injured after police say another vehicle ran a red light and hit them.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1HggA1Z ) that Herriman High School officials told students that 16-year-old sophomore Cadee Conner died in the Thursday crash.

Unified Police Lt. Lex Bell says a woman in her 20s drove a Mazda through a red light around 11:30 a.m. and smashed into the pickup truck Conner was a passenger in, causing it to roll.

Bell says two other students and the Mazda driver were taken to local hospitals in serious condition. He says a baby strapped into a car seat in the Mazda was taken to the hospital as a precaution but is not believed to be hurt.

Herriman High is making counselors available for students.
