EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Authorities say a Minnesota man wanted in connection with a child sex abuse case in Eugene has been arrested.

The Register-Guard reports (https://goo.gl/jSGu7r ) 47-year-old William Isaac Parker III, of Westbrook, was jailed in Minnesota on Oct. 19 on a warrant from Eugene. A Eugene police spokeswoman says he will be extradited back to Lane County.

An arrest warrant was issued for Parker earlier this month after the parents of a 16-year-old girl contacted Eugene authorities.

Parker, who had lived at the teen’s family home for a brief period, is accused of blackmailing the teen into sending him nude photos of herself, and then threatening her once she stopped.

He faces charges of encouraging child sexual abuse and using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.
