BEDFORD, Pa. (AP) - A man has been jailed on charges he robbed the same western Pennsylvania bank twice since June 8.

That’s when police say they stopped 27-year-old Aaron Thompson shortly after the First Commonwealth Bank in Pleasantville was robbed. Police let Thompson go because he was polite and gave them what seemed to be a decent alibi, claiming he was paying a traffic court fine about the time the bank was robbed.

But WJAC-TV (https://bit.ly/1ipJc2e ) reports police began reconsidering Thompson as a suspect when the Johnstown man was charged, along with his girlfriend, with robbing the same bank on Oct. 19.

Police now say that Thompson’s description matches that of the June 8 robber, and that he sold a silver Mitsubishi seen at the robbery shortly afterward.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Thompson.
