MORETOWN, Vt. (AP) - Police a couple who work at a marijuana dispensary in Vermont’s capital city have been accused of growing the drug at home.

The Times Argus reports (https://bit.ly/1MxwFbe ) 37-year-old Benjamin Jenkins and 36-year-old Nicole Jenkins were charged earlier this month with felony possession and cultivation of marijuana.

Vermont State Police say they received a tip that they were growing marijuana at their home on Gravel Lane in Moretown.

Police say they found marijuana and evidence of the growing operation during a search of the residence conducted on Oct. 14.

Trooper Brandon Degre says the couple is employed by Vermont Patients Alliance, Montpelier’s medical marijuana dispensary.

The dispensary said in a statement that they are a nonprofit committed to following Vermont’s laws.

Phone numbers listed for Nicole Jenkins were not in service.
