CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - A judge has sentenced a Casper woman to three years of supervised probation for swinging her baby by its ankles while she was on methamphetamine.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://goo.gl/ZBbfZ8 ) 24-year-old Tiffany Nancy Mae Piper was sentenced Thursday and was ordered to undergo an intensive rehabilitation program. She previously pleaded guilty to meth possession and child endangering with meth.

Investigators say Piper was living at the Self-Help Center’s Ivy House with her 9-month-old baby when someone called police July 7 to report she was running around erratically and holding her baby by its ankles.

Piper acknowledged smoking meth the previous day, as well as smoking spice, or synthetic marijuana. She was on probation for possessing meth at the time.
