BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Police in Baton Rouge continue to search for clues in the shooting death of a 23-year-old man.

Neighbors say Darius Johnson was shot Thursday afternoon as he ran from a neighborhood park.

East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council member Denise Marcelle was among public officials who arrived at the scene of the shooting. Marcelle told The Advocate (https://bit.ly/1MZVhUe ) that the victim was about to graduate from a technical school.

The motive for the shooting remains unclear. Police said there were no known suspects in Johnson’s death.
