NEW YORK (AP) - Police say a woman has been injured by flying glass after a bullet hit a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in Brooklyn.

The New York Police Department says it happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say the 60-year-old woman was riding on the B13 bus when shots rang out along Wycoff Avenue near Harman Street.

They say she was injured by flying glass when the bullet struck the bus.

Authorities initially believed the woman had been grazed by the bullet, but police say a doctor determined that wasn’t the case.

The woman’s condition was not immediately known.
