YUMA, Ariz. (AP) - U.S. border agents say they have arrested several alleged drug smugglers and seized more than 700 pounds of marijuana in the Yuma area.

The Yuma Sector Border Patrol says the separate incidents both occurred Wednesday near Tacna and Camp Grip, the sector’s operating base.

Agents say they were patrolling the area when they discovered the drugs and nine Mexican nationals who appeared to be smuggling.

Officials estimate the drugs are valued at $357,000.

The drugs and the suspects are being processed.
