KINGSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police say they’ve arrested two people in connection with the death of an 18-year-old whose body was found along Interstate 95.

Maryland State Police said Saturday that they have arrested 48-year-old Mark Vonnordeck and 61-year-old Dawn Surdi who share a home in Baltimore. Police say the two face first degree murder and other charges.

The two are charged in the death of Thomas Pope of Middle River. State Police say Pope knew Vonnordeck and Surdi but they say a motive for his murder has not been determined.

Pope’s body was found Tuesday in a wooded area along a service road near the 70-mile marker on I-95 in the Kingsville area of Baltimore County. Online court records did not list attorneys for either Vonnordeck or Surdi.
