NEW YORK (AP) - An 89-year-old woman has died more than two weeks after she was a passenger in a car that crashed in the Bronx.

The accident happened on Oct. 13 in the Co-op City neighborhood.

Police say the driver of a Toyota tried to make a U-turn and hit the center median. They say the driver then accelerated and hit a pole.

Passenger Josephine Ann Sebastian suffered head trauma in the crash. She was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where she died Thursday.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
