BLADES, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police says it has charged a man with driving under the influence for the fifth time.

State Police says that late Friday a trooper was conducting a traffic stop on Seaford Road just north of Easter Lane. State Police says that as the trooper exited his patrol car another vehicle passed within two feet and didn’t slow down or move over. State Police says the trooper ended the initial traffic stop and pulled over the passing vehicle.

State Police says the trooper smelled alcohol on the vehicle’s driver, 42-year-old Willie Davis of Seaford. State Police says Davis was driving on a suspended license and had four other DUI convictions from 2002 and 2004 and two from 2013.

Attempts to reach Davis’ family for comment Saturday were unsuccessful.
