GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Gulfport police say four people have been arrested in connection with the killing of a woman whose skeletal remains were found in the Biloxi River.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1itZQOl ) that Gulfport police arrested Joshua Anthony Peterman, 28, and Kari Michelle Parker, 34, on murder charges. Also arrested were Aaron Dale Bobinger, 30, and Devin Deshaun Gregory, 18, on an accessory after the fact charges. Police announced the arrests on Friday.

The remains of Tena Marie Broadus were found Oct. 7 in the Biloxi River. Broadus, 29, had been missing for nearly three weeks.

Gulfport police allege Broadus was killed at Peterman’s home and that her body was burned at a different location before her remains were thrown into the Biloxi River.

Police allege Peterman, Bobinger and Gregory took her body to an undisclosed location near Mississippi 605, where it was burned and later dumped into the Biloxi River.

Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray set a $1 million bond on Peterman’s murder charge and set Parker’s bond at $250,000. Both Gregory and Bobinger are held on a $10,000 bond.

Peterman has been in custody since Oct. 11, according to the Harrison County jail docket. Gulfport police arrested Peterman on parole warrants for commercial burglary and residential burglary convictions. He also was arrested on misdemeanor charges of malicious mischief, simple assault and petit larceny.

Peterman also was wanted by Gulfport police on a contempt charge. He was wanted in Hancock County on a charge of disturbing the peace.

Gulfport Police Chief Leonard Papania said Harrison County coroner Gary Hargrove worked with the Mississippi Forensics Laboratory to use DNA to identify Broadus. The lab results, he said, were crucial to the investigation and led to an arrest.
