LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) - A Las Cruces man has been indicted on charges stemming from allegations that he sexually molested his girlfriend’s two young children.

A Third District Court grand jury indicted 25-year-old Bobby Mendoza on Friday of 13 counts of criminal sexual penetration.

Mendoza was also indicted on two counts each of second- and third-degree criminal sexual contact of a minor.

He is also facing two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of evidence tampering.

State Child Protective Services received information that Mendoza allegedly was sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy.

Police say Mendoza had been in a relationship with the children’s mother for three years.

It’s unclear if Mendoza has a lawyer.

If convicted, Mendoza faces a minimum of 19 years in prison.
