ALOHA, Ore. (AP) - A 32-year-old Hillsboro man has been arrested after authorities say he struck a witness who was being interviewed by deputies during a hit-and-run investigation.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday that Marvis Lambert was lodged into jail on investigation of drunk driving, assault and reckless driving. The witness, who was not identified, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies were investigating a hit-and-run crash early Saturday in the community of Aloha. Witnesses reported that a driver of pickup truck and passengers hit a parked car and then ran.

While deputies were interviewing a witness in that hit-and-run crash, Lambert’s car veered off the road and hit the witness.
