SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a man is in critical condition after he was shot from an elevated railroad bridge in Syracuse.

Officers arrived at the scene of a reported shooting around 11 a.m. Saturday.

When they got there the officers learned that the victim had been driven in a private car to Upstate University Hospital.

Lt. Eric Carr says the 32-year-old man is in critical but stable condition with gunshot wounds to the arm and hip.

Police believe the shots were fired from a railroad bridge above where the victim was.

Three men were seen on the bridge when the shots started.
