BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) - Radar, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office bloodhound that went missing two weeks ago after a car accident on Mississippi 43, has been spotted alive.

Chief Deputy Don Bass tells The Sea Coast Echo (https://bit.ly/1jNDpoF) Radar was spotted in the backyard of a home Monday close to where he went missing.

Bass said deputies were unable to retrieve him because he ran back into the woods. He says deputies will conduct another search Wednesday.

The bloodhound went missing on Sept. 22 after he and his handler were involved in an accident on Highway 43, just inside Pearl River County.

Radar was apparently ejected from the police cruiser and fled into the woods.
