RICHFIELD, Minn. (AP) - A second Minnesota police officer is on paid administrative leave during an investigation of a video that appears to show an officer pushing and striking a teen.

The Richfield Police Department says the officer was placed on leave Tuesday. Earlier, a Richfield officer recorded on the Twitter video was placed on paid administrative leave.

The incident happened Saturday night. Nineteen-year-old Kamal Gelle says he was pulled over and given a citation for careless driving. Gelle says he then got out of his car to talk on his phone.

He says that’s when the officer pushed him and hit him in the side of his head.

To avoid a conflict of interest, Richfield police have asked the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to conduct an independent investigation. That investigation is underway.
