KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) - Sheriff’s deputies searched by air and on the ground in Kenosha County for a suspect considered armed and dangerous who has eluded authorities for days.

Authorities say the 33-year-old man is a suspect in the death of Tywon Anderson. The 37-year-old man was found dead Sept. 26 along a highway in the Town of Paris.

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth says a Racine County deputy spotted the suspect Tuesday night in Brighton and gave chase. But, the suspect slipped away once again. The sheriff says the suspect promised not to be taken without a fight. He’s also suspected of robbing a couple of convenience stores overnight Saturday.

Beth urges farmers to check their cornfields for anything unusual because the suspect has used the fields to run from authorities.
