FARGO, N.D. (AP) - The committee searching for Fargo’s next chief of the police is interviewing the three finalists this week.

KFGO-AM (https://bit.ly/1NqqLIF ) reports interviews are taking place Thursday and Friday. The city commission could approve a new chief Monday.

The three finalists are Fargo Police Department Interim Chief David Todd and Lt. Joel Vettel, who is responsible for criminal investigations, as well as George Austin, captain at the Charlotte-Mecklenberg Police Department in North Carolina.

Former Fargo Police Chief Keith Ternes stepped down in November amid an investigation into alleged morale and disciplinary problems in the department.
