PHOENIX (AP) - Gasoline prices around Arizona are lower again at the pumps this week.
Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday that the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $2.29 a gallon. That’s down by more than 3 cents from last week.
This week’s national average is $2.31 per gallon, a decrease of more than 2 cents from last week.
Triple-A analysts say it’s the first time since 2009 that the average gasoline price is below $3 per gallon in every state.
Tucson has Arizona’s lowest average gasoline price at $2.15 a gallon and Flagstaff the highest at $2.59.
South Carolina has the lowest average gas prices among states in the continental U.S. at $1.96 a gallon with California has the highest at $2.92.
