LEBANON, N.H. (AP) - Officials in Lebanon are trying to make the city’s downtown a desirable destination.

The Valley News reports (https://bit.ly/1L1vmxo ) city councilors shared ideas to change the face of the city’s downtown during a work session Wednesday.

The discussions were spurred by last year’s discovery of the dilapidated state of a tunnel beneath a city parking lot and the pedestrian mall. City officials and consultants from Vanasse Hangen Brustlin are seeking input on a plan that could alter the look of the downtown area.

Ideas shared included establishing an area heating district, altering traffic patterns to allow for two-way traffic around a city park and building a skate park.
