LAS VEGAS (AP) - Clark County firefighters responded to McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas for a reported smell of smoke, although no fire was discovered.

Airport spokesman Christine Crews said emergency crews were called to the airport about 5 a.m. Thursday after someone smelled burning plastic and smoke.

The fire department said the smell came from a malfunctioning light bulb and that the light was handled by firefighters and airport workers.

No fire was discovered.

Nothing was damaged and airport operations were not impacted.
