HICKORY, Pa. (AP) - A motorcyclist with a long record of arrests, including three for drunken driving, has died in crash while being chased by state police in southwestern Pennsylvania.

The Washington County coroner identified the man as 46-year-old Christopher Novick, of Mount Pleasant Township.

State police say they tried to pull over Novick about 2 a.m. Thursday, but he fled and crashed about a mile away. Troopers were continuing to investigate the incident.

Coroner Timothy Warco says Novick died about 30 minutes later at Canonsburg Hospital.

Online court records show Novick was arrested three times for drunken driving, and charged in other cases with resisting arrest or fleeing police, between 1999 and 2009.
