BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Police say they have recovered the car from which a teenager jumped after an apparent abduction attempt in Bridgeport.

The incident was captured on surveillance video and shows the 17-year-old girl jumping from the moving car shortly after 7 a.m. Monday. She told police she was lured into the Toyota Yaris while on her way to school and was sexually assaulted by the driver.

The victim described the driver as a Hispanic woman in her 40s with black hair in a ponytail, freckles on her face and wearing a black leather jacket.

Police said Thursday they recovered the car in New Haven and identified its owner. No further details were immediately released.
