NEW YORK (AP) - New York City police say they found two loaded weapons and marijuana in a car officers pulled over in Brooklyn.

Members of a gang unit stopped the car Wednesday afternoon because it had heavily tinted windows and a cover on its rear license plate. Police say it had a strong odor of marijuana inside and marijuana was found in a snack container.

The driver and three passengers were arrested and charged with marijuana possession.

Officers had a K-9 dog check the car and it reacted to a door panel, where the guns were found. One gun, a .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun, had been reported stolen in suburban Haverstraw. The other was a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun. Police say both weapons had high capacity magazines.
