TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A woman is accused of striking a child with her vehicle near a Tulsa elementary school and fleeing the scene.

According to authorities, police responded to an incident near Lindbergh Elementary School around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, and learned an 8-year-old boy had been hit by a vehicle. The child was treated by emergency crews and firefighters in the school nurse’s office. Police said his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

The suspect was arrested later that day on complaints of hit-and-run, driving without a license and insurance as well as a warrant for driving under suspension.
