WATERBURY, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police say a school bus carrying 23 students and six adults has been involved in a multi-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 89 in Waterbury. Three students who complained of neck pain were taken to a hospital.

Police said the driver of the Twinfield Union School bus failed to yield to traffic ahead that was slowing down. The bus rear-ended a vehicle, starting a chain reaction of collisions. The accident happened at about 8:50 a.m. Thursday.

No other injuries were reported.

The accident is being investigated.
