TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A suspect is in custody in connection with hundreds of vehicle break-ins during the past two months in the Tucson area.

Pima County Sheriff’s Officials said Thursday that 21-year-old Charles Boyce has been booked into jail on suspicion of third-degree burglary, trafficking of stolen property and making a false reporting to law enforcement

They say Boyce was arrested Wednesday as he was sitting outside a supermarket. He’s believed to be homeless.

Sheriff’s officials say more charges could be pending against Boyce, who also was wanted on a felony warrant for burglary and two misdemeanor warrants.

They say the arrest comes after a six-week investigation into vehicle break-ins and thefts that occurred in Rancho Del Lago, Vail and Rita Ranch.
