ANITA, Iowa (AP) - One woman has died and her husband had been injured in an early morning house fire in southwestern Iowa.

Omaha television station KETV reports (https://bit.ly/1R2wSAR ) that firefighters were called the rural Cass County home near Anita at 12:45 a.m. Friday.

Cass County officials say a couple was in the home when the fire broke out, and 67-year-old Linda Barber was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband, 73-year-old Larry Barber was taken to Cass County Memorial Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

John Ticer, an investigator with the state fire marshal’s office, says the fire was caused by an electrical wiring malfunction on the second floor.
