SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Police have arrested three people in connection with a series of residential burglaries in Scottsdale and Phoenix whose victims were attending funerals.

Scottsdale police say the alleged burglars used obituaries and online tools to select their victims.

A detective reported seeing one of the suspects commit a residential burglary in Phoenix last Friday.

Surveillance had been set up on Jack Lins and he’s been booked into jail on suspicion of numerous felony burglary charges.

Police identified John Furfaro and Candice Hough as the other suspects and they’ve been arrested in Aurora, Colorado.

Authorities say the two were in possession of guns, drugs and evidence allegedly tying them to similar burglaries in Colorado.

Police believe the three may be responsible for more than 17 burglaries in Scottsdale and Phoenix.
