BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (AP) - A 26-year-old Bay St. Louis man faces a DUI death charge from an accident that ejected and killed a passenger after his car crashed into the staircase of a home.

Police Chief Mike DeNardo tells The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1OoTZrK) the charge alleges Timothy James Tucker was driving impaired Aug. 12 in a crash that claimed the life of 23-year-old Jasmyne Joy Eimers.

Eimers was one of two passengers in the car.

Police arrested Tucker on Monday.

He is being held at the Hancock County jail.

Municipal Court Judge Steven Maggio set bond on the felony at $25,000. Tucker also faces a misdemeanor DUI charge with a $1,500 bond.

Online jail records did not list an attorney for Tucker.
