INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say a second child has died from his injuries following a crash that also killed the boy’s father and a fellow student at Indianapolis Junior Academy.

The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Friday confirmed the death of 12-year-old Sandile Ncube (NOO’-bay). A spokeswoman for the Indiana Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists says the boy died Thursday night. The school is affiliated with the conference.

The crash Tuesday also killed 50-year-old Norris Ncube, the principal of the academy and 5-year-old Malia Siziba.

Police says the crash occurred when an SUV heading ran a red light and struck an SUV driven by Norris Ncube.

Jessica Senele Ncube, Norris Ncube’s daughter, remains hospitalized. Two other children who were riding in the Ncube’s vehicle have been released.
