EDMOND, Okla. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say an Edmond man has been arrested after impersonating a CIA and Department of Homeland Security officials at Edmond North High School.

U.S. Attorney Sanford Coats says in a news release that the 46-year-old man arrived at the school campus Friday morning and identified himself as an employee of the CIA and Homeland Security and that he was to patrol the school campus.

Coats says school officials became suspicious while questioning the man’s claim and called law enforcement. Edmond police and the Oklahoma City FBI Joint Terrorism Task responded to the call and later arrested the man.

The suspect is now in custody pending a hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
