MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) - Prosecutors say a man and his two sons have been sentenced to prison for their roles in a shooting in a suburban Atlanta motel.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (https://on-ajc.com/1P3QJSL) that the three were sentenced in a shooting of an unidentified man at the Lorene Lodge on Aug. 27, 2014.

Cobb County District Attorney office says 45-year-old Corey Leroy Hughes Sr. and Hughes Jr. were given 20 years in prison. Sheldon Hughes was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Investigators say Hughes Sr. got into a fight at the complex and later returned with his two sons. The man was shot seven times with a handgun, including three times in the neck, but was able to survive the wounds.
