MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Retired Air Force Col. Sean Frisbee has been named executive director of the West Virginia University Alumni Association.

The association announced Frisbee’s appointment Thursday.

Frisbee earned his bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from WVU in 1989 and master’s degrees from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Air University.

Among his past responsibilities in the Air Force, Frisbee was program director of the F-22 stealth aircraft weapon system at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and vice wing commander of Iraqi Air Force Development in Baghdad.

In recent years he has been involved in several small business and startup firms. He is president of electronics firm IES Global Inc., which designs and produces systems for the oil and gas industries.



The WVU Alumni Association has chapters in every state and 135 other countries.
