Funeral services set for Oct. 17 for 3 children killed in Minneapolis house fire

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Funeral services have been set for three children killed in a Minneapolis house fire.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale.

Six-year-old Latorious Thomas, 5-year-old Latora Thomas and 1-year-old Latorianna Thomas died after the home was engulfed in flames shortly before midnight Saturday. The family had just moved into the home.

Investigators initially said the fire last Saturday was believed to have started in the kitchen area but now say the cause is still undetermined.

The family’s pastor, Harding Smith, says the fire crew that took the three bodies out of the fire will be at the funeral, along with Minneapolis Fire Chief John Fruetel.
