NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - A luxury cruise ship is planning to make an overnight stop in Norfolk.

City officials say the ship The World by Residensea will arrive at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center on Saturday.

The 644-foot ship will arrive Saturday evening and leave Sunday afternoon.

City officials say The World is the largest residential cruise ship to visit Norfolk.

Since its launch in 2002, the vessel of 165 individual homes has continuously circumnavigated the globe. The World’s residents not only own their respective units, they also collectively own the ship and plan the itineraries of each journey.
