BEAUFORT, S.C. (AP) - In what must be a high school student’s worst nightmare, 65 students at Beaufort High School will have to retake the SAT because the test was improperly administered.

The Beaufort Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1G2flYX ) that an auditor for the Educational Testing Service invalidated the results of the test given Oct. 3.

It seems those giving the test did not follow the procedures for how far apart the students should be sitting and in what direction they should have been facing.

A makeup test is scheduled for next week or students can take it again next month.

Students are generally asked to take the test in October if they plan to apply for early admission at a college.
