PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. (AP) - Police in Paradise Valley are warning residents to be aware of a man posing as a Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputy.

KNXV-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1MixuTy ) that the Paradise Valley Police Department says it has received three calls about a man calling himself a deputy.

The man is telling people he has active arrest warrants that can only be resolved by wiring money to him.

Police say no law enforcement officers will ever call a resident to request a wire transfer.
