NEW ORLEANS (AP) - An employee of a chemical cleaning company has died and two others have been injured after getting trapped inside a tank car at the Port of New Orleans rail yard.

The New Orleans Fire Department tells local media that it received a report of several people trapped inside a tanker on Thursday morning and dispatched its hazardous materials team. One man was able to escape from the tank car and call 911, despite suffering oxygen deprivation. First responders removed two more men who were still trapped when they arrived.

One of the men later died at the hospital.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited the company that the men worked for, Dedicated Trailer Cleaning Services, multiple times for workplace hazards.

The company says it is investigating the incident.
