ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - Officials say a speeding car crashed through the front of a home in Rochester, injuring a couple inside.

Fire Department Battalion Chief Mike Dupra tells the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle (https://on.rocne.ws/1jSEj32 ) the car was traveling at least 50 miles per hour on Thursday evening.

The car left the road, hit an incline, went airborne and went through the house, pinning a 54-year-old man. It also hit the man’s 48-year-old wife.

Officials say the man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was in serious condition. His wife was also hospitalized with a leg injury. Their 22-year-old son was not harmed.

Police say the three occupants of the car fled the scene; two are in custody and the third is at large.
