ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Albuquerque police say someone stole from Jesus - but the items have been recovered.

Authorities said Friday that officers returned propane tanks and two stolen hot air balloon burners belonging to the “Jesus Balloon.”

Authorities made the connection after posting pictures of the stolen goods on social media hoping to find the owner. Officers found the items last month in a stolen trailer.

John Mason, the owner of the “Jesus Balloon,” saw the items and later contacted police. He told investigators the items were previously stolen from the parking lot of Our Savior Church in Albuquerque. He says thieves also took off with a hot air balloon gondola.

No arrests have been made.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is ending Sunday.
