PLEASANTVILLE, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a 17-year-old boy has been arrested in the shooting death of another southern New Jersey boy who was found dead in a field in August.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain said that the teen will appear in court Friday after he was arrested at his school in Sicklerville on Thursday.

The teen from Sicklerville was charged in the death of a 17-year-old boy from Pleasantville whose body was found in a field at a park on Aug. 7 in Pleasantville.

An autopsy found the teen was killed by multiple gunshot wounds.

The teen also faces a weapons charge and was being held at the Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center in Egg Harbor City.

The victim was not identified by prosecutors and they didn’t release a possible motive for the shooting.
