KENNER, La. (AP) - Police say a suspect in a LaPlace triple shooting that killed two people and left one wounded has been arrested in a rental car lot near Louis Armstrong International Airport.

The New Orleans Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/1P2RFXe) 28-year-old Derrence Greenup, of Reserve, was arrested without incident Thursday by officers from the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Homeland Security and Kenner Police Department.

Authorities said Greenup faces two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.

The early Monday morning gunfire in LaPlace claimed the lives of cousins 23-year-old Travis Gregoire and 18-year-old Sierra Gregoire and wounded an unnamed 23-year-old man.

The search continues for two more suspects.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Greenup.
